2 Corinthians Chapter 9 verses 6 - 8

The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.

St Andrew’s Church in Enfield needs £420 a day to just maintain it as it stands today. Any improvements and major maintenance are in addition to this. With inflation running at 5.2%, St Andrew’s needs your help keep running - the Parish Church, the Clergy, the Lay readers and the volunteers with all that they stand for and create both here in Enfield and further a-field, working for you and the wider community.

To this end St Andrew’s Finance Team asks you to donate via our planned giving system. Please consider how much you can give, both financially and of your time, to assist the Church in its ministry.

St Andrew’s Finance Team are reaching out to you now, which we have not done, for some time. We have also been asked to contribute more to the ‘Common Fund’. This is the Diocese fund that pays clergy stipends and other employment costs which, we are all aware, are now rising steeply.

Please join our scheme and give as much as you can afford. If you can give a regular amount it will help the Finance team to budget. It will also help enormously if you can also Gift Aid your donations. This means that St Andrew’s can re-claim the tax you have paid on your donation, increasing the amount by 25%. With your help we can assist the Christian Mission here in Enfield, in the wider community and indeed throughout the world.

There are many ways to donate to the upkeep of St Andrew’s Church:

Weekly envelopes

Standing orders

Gift Aid

Donate under a Give As You Earn scheme

Leave a legacy in your will

Please contact our treasurer for any help you may need and for further information
