Organ Restoration Appeal

target £250,000

Our Organ Restoration Appeal was launched on June 24th 2010

amount contributed or promised by standing order and inclusive of Gift Aid refund to be claimed

£85,000

Since the launch of our Organ Restoration Appeal in 2010 we have raised £85,000 towards our target of £250,000.
£2,715 was raised as a result of our Christmas Tree Festival and our friends at Martin Luther Kirche in Berlin generously gave £1,800, the proceeds of a concert in their church that several of us were able to attend. Other gifts continue to flow in, offering great encouragement to your committee.

We have now asked David Wells, Organ Builder of Liverpool, to undertake the restoration of our organ. His proposals have been before the Diocesan Advisory Committee who have now issued their certificate of approval. Our application for a faculty for the work involved will be made soon. We expect the work to start in 2013.

We are now in the process of contacting grant giving concerns, making a case for the generous support of our project.

We ask you to continue to support the appeal in any way you can. Please consider taking out a standing order, pledging an amount of money regularly, thus helping us to plan into the future. Your ideas for future fund raising events would be gratefully received as would suggestions about potential sponsors within the locality.

Easy fundraising and easy search are methods of supporting the appeal at no cost to yourself and Gift Aid enables doners to add 25% to their gift at no extra cost.

Please invite your friends to our fund raising events and help us to spread the word about the appeal far and wide.
