Mosaic at St Andrews Church Enfield

Mosaic handing over a Cheque for £1000 to Cheviots at our AGM last Thursday- a very proud moment.

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM last week- it was a fantastic review of the year and it was great to get the new committee in place for the coming years events.

We have decided that this years Mosaic charity donation, will be to pay for the installation of a much needed (portable) mural for Kingfisher Children's Ward, Chase Farm Hospital. All of this years fundraising will go towards this great cause including a proportion of each Mosaic membership fee paid.

Look out for the new Mosaic membership leaflets over the next couple of weeks. Don't forget to renew your membership to get 50p off every toddler session ( Usually £2 for non members). Membership cards will be issued to all paid up members for 2010. If you would like further information please contact Hazel Wilson, membership secretary hazelwil@googlemail.com.

Other member news includes:

Book Club- first book is Nick Hornby- Juliet Naked- next meeting is 13th April- please contact Rachel for more information
rachelhalstead1@googlemail.com.

Please continue to send your recipes to Rachel (e-mail as above) for our charity cook book to be released over the summer.

Look out for further information about our Mothers Union Coffee morning in May...we are proud to be linked to the MU and look forward to working together with them.

We are planning a cinema trip on Tuesday 30th March and there will be an Easter day out for families in the School holidays- again for more info contact Rachel.

Mosaic is an exciting group within St Andrews Church that offers a range of activities that appeal to all members of the family.

Our newly invigorated committee is dedicated to organising many different events, giving families the chance to meet and socialise with other members.

Our daytime activities are aimed at parents and carers with pre school children and we have two successful toddler groups in the Parish Centre on Monday and Friday at 9.45am.

Our evening charity fashion show is an annual event and is a great excuse to shop and socialise, plus, the kids are tucked up in bed!

As a member of Mosaic you receive a bi monthly newsletter giving you full details of all of our events, ranging from family days out to ladies indulgence evenings and cinema trips!

The money that we raise through subscriptions and other fund raising we donate to our annual charity. For 2009 we have selected The Cheviots Children’s Centre, which gives children with disabilities the opportunities that they otherwise might not be able to access. Holidays, outdoor activities, work experience, the list is endless. Most importantly they provide support for families, a fundamental part of the ethos behind Mosaic.

As a family group within St Andrews we have an important role to play in the day to day life of the church. The Church and School Fayres have stalls run by Mosaic members and we have several special services for Children throughout the year in the Church.

If you would like to join Mosaic or require any further information please contact Rachel Halsted on 020 8367 0009 or rachelhalstead@freeuk.co.uk , or just come along to one of our toddler groups. It costs just five pounds a year for the whole family to join. A great family investment!
